Andrew Fowler is the founder of Newsvetter, a Portland-based PR consultancy and the creator of Guhmshoo cartoons. He has worked in public affairs and public relations since 1993 and has helped clients create compelling PR campaigns that have resulted in coverage in a variety of top media outlets throughout the country including: USA Today, Reuters, Associated Press, Wired, San Francisco Chronicle, Portland Oregonian, WNYC, and PBS. Prior to creating his own consultancy in 2003, Andrew worked at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide where he provided PR counsel to enterprise software manufacturer SAP and several startup companies in the biotech sector. Andrew also spent five years as a news analyst for the German Embassy in Washington. D.C. Andrew graduated from Northwestern University and holds a Masters Degree in International Communication from the School of International Service at American University.
