Why register?
The best way to build relationships with the news media is to consistently send them high quality information. Newsvetter is designed to help you do this.
Submitting news
Complete the registration process and click the submit news link. This will give you access to the vetting process. The vetting process contains a list of key questions commonly asked by the news media when evaluating stories for publication (see example). You are required to answer all questions and complete the checklist at the bottom before your submission will be posted to the Web site.
Users can hide content from public view by checking the hidden box during the vetting process. This feature is for users who want to embargo a story or want to shop a story idea around to individual journalists or bloggers.
Sending your news to the media
To send an article to someone specific, click the send to media tab at the top. This tab is only accessible after completing the initial vetting questions and checklist. After clicking the tab, a contact form will appear along with a second set of questions that relate to your specific news media target.
My subscriptions
After registering, you can subscribe to the news alert service though my subscriptions. Each time a news submission matching your interests is posted to the Web site, you will be contacted via email.
Interacting with other users
You can contact news presenters by clicking the author link attached to news submissions and comments. You will be able to view that user's profile and contact them through the Newsvetter site.
